DocuSign Envelope ID:0D7A7D02-4025-4909-ABD7-B9F630F4B397 <br /> ORDINANCE 3089 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3078 ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 21, <br /> 2020, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR ALL MUNICIPAL <br /> PURPOSES AND USES FOR THE YEAR 2021" <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance 3078 was adopted on December 21, 2020 that established the <br /> annual budget for fiscal year 2021, and <br /> WHEREAS, The 2021 budget was intentionally lean across all funds and departments <br /> because of the concerns about the future of the economy at the time of budget development <br /> due to the continued impact of COVID-19, and <br /> WHEREAS, One full time position was removed from the 2021 Parks and Recreation <br /> budget, and that position has in part been filled with non-represented staff who are no longer <br /> able to support those tasks as post Covid programming gets underway in the department, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the department is deferring maintenance and falling behind on regular <br /> projects, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation department request the authority to return that <br /> position back into the budget to ensure City Parks are maintained at the high level our citizens <br /> have come to expect. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Anacortes, <br /> Washington, as follows: <br /> Section 1. Ordinance No. 3078 dated December 21, 2020 adopting the Budget for all <br /> Municipal purposes and Uses for the fiscal year 2021 is hereby amended to reflect the <br /> aforementioned revisions to expenditures and revenues in the following areas: <br /> Parks and Rec Position Description Expense Revenue <br /> 101.410.576.80.10 Wages - Parks Maintenance 63,908 <br /> 101.410.576.80.20 Personnel Benefits 34,732 <br /> 101.410.308.90.00 Reserved Fund Balance 98,640 <br /> Section 2. Effective date.
