ORDINANCE NO J . AN ORDINANCE granting to the Seattle & Northern Railway Cor►ipany, its successors and assigns, the right and authority to maintain and op- erate throughout a period of five years from and after April 7,I902� that certain branch of its railway heretofore laid down,constructed, operated and maintained by it upon certain streets and avenues in the city of Anaeortes under authority therefor granted in and by Ordinance No. I99 of said city,approved April 7,I897. The City Council of the City of Anacortes do ordain as follows: Section I. That there are hereby granted to the Seattle & Northern Railway Company,a corporation duky organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the state of Washington,and to its suecessos rs and assigns,the right and authority to maintain and operate,for the period of five (5) years from and after April 7,I902,that certain branch of its steam railway,together with necessary and suitable turnouts and connections,heretdfore laid down,constructed,operated and maintained by it,under authority therefor granted in and by Ordinance No.I99 of the city of Anacortes,approved April 79I8979upon,over and across those sert- -ain streets and avenues of said city of Anaeortes crossed by or embraced wholly or partly within the area of the strip of land now occupied by said branch or railway track,and also upon,over and across any private property within the area of said strip in respect of which said company, its successors or assigns, may have acquired or shall hereafter acquire the right to lay down,eonstruct,operate and maintain said branch or track which strip is described as follows,to-wit: A strip of land fifteen feet (I5) wide,seven and one-ha lf(2xxx 7 I/2)feet on each side of the following described ,center lines Beg- -inning at a point on the center line of the Seattle & Northrn Railway Company' s right of way,which point is one hundred and fifty jive one- hundreths (I00.55)feet southeasterly from the point of interseetiOn of the center line of the Seattle & Northern Raiway Company's right of way d and Tenth tIft) street; thence northwesterly by a curve to the right,of a uniform radius of seven hundred and sixty four and forty nine one-hundr- -edths (764.49) feet,a distance of three hundred and eighteen and two tenths (3I8.2) feet, thence north 0 degrees and thirty four minutes east a distance of eighteen hundred and eighty nine and eight tenths (I889.8) feet along the center line of Avenue N. , thence by a curve to the right, of a uniform radius of three hundred and nineteen and slxtytwo one-hund- -redths (3I9.62) feet a distance of three hundred and six (306) feet, thence north fifty five degrees and thirty nine minutes (55 deg. 39 min. ) east a distance of two hundred and seventy eight and two tenths (278.2) feet; thence by a curve to the right, of a uniform radius of seven hund- red and sixty four and forty nine one-hundredths (764.49) feet9 for a distance of one hundred and forty (I40) feet, thence north sixty six de- grees and nine minutes (66 dei,. 9min. ) east a distance of two hundred and fifty four (254) feet to the west line of Avenue P. : 1
