NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT AN APPLICATION WAS MADE FOR THE FOLLOWING PROPOSAL:

Request: The applicant is requesting a Home Occupation Permit for a home-based Reiki
healing practice. The proposed business office would be located in a 2nd floor
bedroom of the existing residence; said bedroom is roughly 10% of the
residence’s square footage. The applicant proposes to see 3-5 clients in the
home office with a majority of the clients utilizing remote sessions. Parking is
proposed to be in the driveway. No more than (1) client is seen at a time;
therefore, parking is not anticipated to be problematic. The subject property is
located in the Old Town (OT) zoning district.
Other permits required: The following may be required in addition to the above: City Business License
Public Hearing: None required. A Home Occupation Permit is a Type 2 Administrative Decision.
Public Comment Period: The Notice of Application was published on July 7th, 2021. Written comments must
be submitted to the contact person listed below by 5:00 PM on July 21st, 2021.
ANY PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE NOTICE, PARTICIPATE IN ANY HEARINGS, REQUEST A
COPY OF THE FINAL DECISION AND APPEAL THE DECISION AS PROVIDED BY LAW.

Appeals: Any party with standing may appeal the decision, once made, within 14 calendar days after written
notice of the decision is mailed, per the provisions in AMC 19.20.180, Appeals.
