HomeMy WebLinkAboutNotice of Application with Optional SEPA DNS NOTICE OF APPLICATION with OPTIONAL SEPA DNS: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT AN APPLICATION WAS MADE FOR THE FOLLOWING PROPOSAL: File Number: SLX-2021-0011 Date of Application: May 19, 2021 Date of Completeness: June 18, 2021 Applicant: Brent Moore, Seattle Northwest Yachts LLC. 2417 T Ave. Anacortes, WA 98221 Agent: Kevin Cline, KMC Environmental, 3121 Lauralwood Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225 Landowner: Anacortes Marine, INC Project Location: 2417 T Ave, Anacortes, WA (P78004, P78005, P32973) Request: This project proposes to replace the current pile caps, beams, stringers, and decking with new, in-kind ACZA-treated timber. The existing steel curbs and plates are in good condition and will be re-installed over the new decking and travel-way. Existing piles will not be removed, nor will new piles be installed, nor will any vibratory pile driver be used during the proposed travel lift pier replacement. The subject property is located in the Commercial Marine 2 Zoning designation. Required Project Permits/Approvals: The following may be required in addition to the above: Demolition Permit, USACE Section 10 Permit, WDFW HPA, WADOE Section 401 Water Quality Certification SEPA Review: Based on the submitted application and available information, the City anticipates issuing a DNS for this proposal and the optional DNS process as specified in WAC 197.11.355 is being utilized. Consequently, this may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of this proposal. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. A copy of the subsequent SEPA threshold determination for the proposal may be obtained upon request. Existing Environmental Documents: SEPA Checklist; Biological Evaluation, Mitigation Plan; Public Hearing: None required. A Shoreline Exemption with a SEPA Threshold Determination is a Type 2 Administrative Decision. Public Comment Period: The Notice of Application was published on June 23rd, 2021. Written comments must be submitted to the contact person listed below by 5:00 PM on July 7th, 2021.
