The project proposes repairs to <br /> include: filling of cracks and expansion joints with caulk, repair seawall lip by <br /> reinforcing with rebar and new concrete, clean underside of seawall cap and lip <br /> Request via power washing/brushing, and sealing entire wall with marine-grade epoxy. <br /> The work is to commence Summer of 2021 and should be completed within 2 <br /> months; all work would occur in the dry during low tide. The project site is <br /> located within the Marine Mixed Use (MMU)zoning district and has a shoreline <br /> environment designation of Urban. <br /> The City of Anacortes Department of Planning, Community & Economic Development has determined <br /> that this project does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An <br /> environmental impact statement(EIS) is not required under RCW§ 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was <br /> made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead <br /> agency. This information is available at https://www.anacorteswa.gov/161/Planning-Community- <br /> Economic-Development under"Public Notices". <br /> This determination is based on the following findings and conclusions: <br /> • The proposal's conformance with existing Anacortes Municipal Code regulations and acquisition of <br /> applicable agency permits prior to site construction adequately address potential impacts of this <br /> project. <br /> • This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2) after using the Optional DNS process in WAC 197- <br /> 11-355. There is no further comment period on this DNS. <br /> For further information, contact the City of Anacortes' Department of Planning, Community, & Economic <br /> Development at (360) 299-1984. The issuance of this Determination of Non-significance should not be <br /> interpreted as acceptance or approval of the proposal as presented.
