of wall to ridge height.
If roof system is designed as a
central beam, the collar ties may be
omitted and the rafters may be
reduced to 2X6 HF #2 or better.
Minimum beam size would be 3 1/2
X 15 GLB or 5 1/2 X 13 1/2" GLB.
If the ceiling joists are lifted above
the wall tops, this reduces the rafter
spans to 0.67 of the span tables.
