Objective: Complete daylight basement @ 3518 W 2"d St, Anacortes
Background: Permit # BLD-2017-0648 was issued for the vacant lot located @ 3518 W 2"d St and
construction began on primary residence in Spring 2018. The approved design was a
two-story residence with the downstairs being a daylight basement. The upstairs was
completed and occupancy granted in May 2019. The daylight basement remained
unfinished and the initial permit has expired.
Scope: Complete the daylight basement as drawn per original plans, submitted under archived permit
#BLD-2017-0648.
The daylight basement, per design, is 1 bedroom, 3/4 bathroom, linen closet and a recreation
room. Upon the initial build and relative to the daylight basement, this follows:
• HVAC ducting was completed
• CO/Smoke detectors are in service, connected to the whole -house system, and are on a
dedicated electrical circuit
• Rough sewer plumbing/venting is in place
• Rough Hot/Cold water is in place
• A separate electric subpanel is located in the daylight basement and was inspected by
Labor and Industries
• All applicable, necessary or associated inspections were conducted without condition or
exclusion
No structural modifications or additions will emerge due to the completion of the daylight basement.
