Consultant only takes responsibility for structural items specifically addressed within this report set as
follows:
O This report is an addendum to our original report dated 4/30/20. All requirements, callouts,
specifications, designs, etc. in our original report shall remain valid and in effect unless specifically
superseded by item(s) in this report.
O The scope of this Addendum is limited to the addition of a window which eliminates an exterior
shear wall panel and must be replaced with interior shear panels.
o The amount of lateral resistance lost is approximately 5(350) =1,750 lb. The amount replaced
—(6.5+7)200=2,700, okay. The new interior shear walls are approximately in line with the lost panel
and lateral load is transferred to the new shear walls via positive connections to the roof diaphragm,
okay. The bottom of new shear walls are positively connected to the floor diaphragm and framing
below, okay.
