Notes Consultant only takes responsibility for structural items specifically addressed within this report set as follows: O This report is an addendum to our original report dated 4/30/20. All requirements, callouts, specifications, designs, etc. in our original report shall remain valid and in effect unless specifically superseded by item(s) in this report. O The scope of this Addendum is limited to the addition of a window which eliminates an exterior shear wall panel and must be replaced with interior shear panels. o The amount of lateral resistance lost is approximately 5(350) =1,750 lb. The amount replaced —(6.5+7)200=2,700, okay. The new interior shear walls are approximately in line with the lost panel and lateral load is transferred to the new shear walls via positive connections to the roof diaphragm, okay. Original exterior shear panel now with window and not permitted to resist in - plane lateral load. 2. New interior shear wall. Construct per Plans and the following. 3. Min. 1.5x11.8 LSL or PSL. Must bear on top plate of "2.", 4' long min and extend 6' min., beyond the roof pitch break at beam 30B. Okay to splice at pitch break but spliced ends must butt into each other and be strapped per "5." below. Nail roof diaphragm to this LSL or PSL with 8d at 3" spacing. 4. Connect "3." to top plate with LTP4 or A34 at -10" spacing, use min 4 ea., per "3." 5. If "3." Is spliced at pitch break, attach ends of aligned "3." with horizontal CS16 x 48" centered over splice. Nail with N10, TECO or similar.
