The pictures I sent you show the walls that will be changed. The first one, to the left of the vanity, is being removed. The other wall where the current entrance to the bathroom is being turned into a door jamb and adding a barn style door. These two walls are not load bearing. The third wall was a box that was built beside the shower. This wall was also not a load bearing wall. Is it ok if I highlight those areas on the same picture and resubmit it? I looked at the window today and the window has a U-factor of .30. The wall that is gaining a window is on the backside of the house (if you're looking at the house from the street) illustrated in the "after picture". The window frame will be framed to fit a 12x36 (12 high 36 wide) window using a 2x8 header that will be tight up to the double top plate, so the measurement between the ceiling and the top of the window will be 7.25+plus the width of the double top plate 3". This will make the top of the window at 10.25" from the ceiling. The customer really wants a window in her shower so I told her I would put it up higher to keep the water off the sill. I will draw a picture of this wall and send it to you. Do you want a picture of the current wall where the window will be? Thanks.
