Remarks:
Reinforcing Steel Inspection:
MTC on -site to visually inspect the reinforcing steel at the locations noted above to verify conformance with the approved
project plans and specifications.
MTC observed the reinforcing steel for proper size, grade, type, placement, clearance and secure.
The following items from report #17255462 were corrected by adding additional reinforcing on the bottom and
top mats so that the spacing is now at 8" OC. No exceptions noted:
Per noted details, reinforcing is to be at 12" O.C., but contractor has placed reinforcing at 16" O.C. Contractor
was notified of deficiency. Contractor will correct reinforcing and schedule for reinspection. Contractor was
also notified of some areas where the bottom mat needs to be corrected to have proper clearance from
underlying aggregate. This will be checked for conformance prior to placing of concrete.
To the best of MTC inspector's knowledge, the above -described work was performed in general accordance with project
specifications and approved plans.
