I have attached copies of several references by Joseph Lstiburek, a leading moisture
specialist. I have enclosed information on vapor barriers for both Heating and Mixed-
Humid climates. Mr. Lstiburek would define Anacortes as Mixed-humid climate. This
provides us with a somewhat different understanding of the desired details than we are
used to seeing in our state. Most builders in our State use the Cold Climate methods.
There is some debate which is more appropriate- 1 tend to favor the Mixed Humid
climate definition.
