Reference site visit and discussions yesterday regarding laundry/utility area, eta
1. See attached sketch for revised utility layout. This should give adequate clearance for
equipment.
2. See also same sketch, a smaller window and relocation of the pantry will solve the problem at
Unit 6A end 2br,
3. During our post-meeting walk thru the trenching sub brought up issues regarding possible
problems compacting native backfill and recommended granular material be imported for backFA
of trenches under areas to be paved or where slabs or sidewalks are to be installed. I completely
missed the boat on this one when I recommended that he submit a request for an extra to the G.C.
for material. The specifications (Sections 02207 and 02225) already call for aggregate backtill.
You could allow native backfill in grassed areas if you are so inclined. He also questioned piping
bury depth(2 feet OX) and height of valves at valve boxes. See attachment M-1 to Addendum 1,
that should clarify his question on valve boxes.
