Re: Rock wall, Lots 1-4, Block 903 Northern Pacific Addition.
Dear Mr. Thomas:

The application for constructing a rock retaining wall adjacent to the alley adjoining the
above lots has been reviewed. The proposal is not acceptable as presented. Any retaining
wall in such a location needs to be placed in such a manner as to protect any future
excavation for maintenance and repair on the 12" storm drain proposed to be further
bathed.
If you wish to pursue the idea of the retaining wall please provide and an engineered
design for said retaining wall that will both protect the storm drainage pipe and the fill area
behind the retaining wall. The engineered design will also detail the fill methods and
procedures for the site. Include reference drawings showing existing undisturbed soil,
proposed finish grade and drainage control.
Because of the amount of earth that has been disturbed on site and/or moved onto the site
and soils report detailing foundation and drainage design will be required for each lot of
Blocks 902, 903 and 1002.
