RE: Stepped foundation for house located 2720 Geer Lane, Anacortes, Washington
Dear Mr. Fyrrce:
At the request of Steve Smith of Progressive Builders, I would like to address your concerns
regarding the stepped foundation for the house located at the above indicated address.
Your main issue is that the steps are at spacings less than 8 feet apart. In the case of this
building site, this spacing is not practical. However, based on my observation of photos taken
of this construction, the steps in these stemwalls will pose no structural issues with this house
and no additional reinforcement of the walls beyond standard construction is required.
