Re: 7656 SR 20, Anacortes, WA Retail Use
Dear Rick,
We have reviewed your request for a determination of retail use at 7656 SR 20, Sharpes
Corner Building known as The Outpost. Based on information provided by Suzanne
Knutson, Bunnies By The Bay which occupied the building from 1990 to 1995, we have
determined that 5,000 square feet of building space was previously used as retail space
from 1990 through 1995.
Consistent with Anacortes Municipal Code section 17.19.020 H. Retail floor space
existing as of May 1, 1995 that is determined to be non-conforming under these
regulations may be increased by up to 100 percent, therefore, the total retail space
allowed for the building located at 7656 SR 20 may be 10,000 square feet and must be
located in the same building.
