BUILDING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS
Prior to Issuance
For new structures or structures moved to a new location:
(1) Plot plan showing location of structures as per instructions on application
form.
(2) Building plans showing general arrangement and size of rooms, drawn to
scale.
(3) Proposed sewer system, either
(a) Letter of approval from Health Department for septic tank instal-
lations, or
(b) Sketch showing proposed tie into existing system.
(A) Sk^tnb showing proposed method of tie-in to existing water services.
(5) Statement as to survey and identification of property corners.
(6) Sketch or statement of proposed method for handling storm drainage.
(7) Where required - plot plan showing off street parking.
(8) When mechanical specifications are made on any work they should be sub-
mitted for checking.
(9) On commercial and public use type buildings or any unusual type of
structure or occupancy, detailed building and mechanical specifications
shall be submitted. References to specific sections of the Uniform
Building Code may be used.
(ip) In order to tie-in with possible future development of street improve-
ments, any structure installed on the public right-of-way (i.e. , drive-
ways, retaining walls, fences, etc,) will require a building permit.
CODE AND ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Uniform Building Code.
2. Uniform Plumbing Code.
3. National Electrical Code.
4. Underground Utility Ordinance.
(a) All utilities including power, telephone, and TV cable are required
to be placed underground in all new construction.
5. Garbage Disposal Ordinance.
(a) Garbage disposals are required in kitchen areas of all new resi-
dential constructions.
