Dear Ms. Christofersen,
In response to your letter dated May 4, 2015,Parcel Numbers P19776 and P9720 Padilla
Heights Road is located within the City of Anacortes urban growth area having a zoning
designation of Light Manufacturing I per Anacortes Municipal code 17.19 (AMC)
Based on AMC Section 17.19.020 permitted uses include I502 Businesses (except retail).
The Skagit County Planning Department may be able to provide information on the other
1502 businesses in the area.

Dear Mr.Measamer,
My ten acres of land on Padilla Heights Road is on the market and I have recently
received two full price cash offers that did not come to fruition. I do not know the
specifics of why they were not successful but I was told it had to do with permitting.
Both prospective buyers were interested in I-502 businesses.
My property lies in the UGH area for Anacortes and I am not sure if the permitting issue
is with the City of Anacortes or Skagit County. Would you clarify the Anacortes
comprehensive plan for Padilla Heights Road and specifically for development of I-502
businesses?
I will be following up with Skagit County Planning Department also to clarify any issues
that might be impeding a successful sale.
It would also be helpful to know what other I-502 businesses have been permitted on
Padilla Heights Road. Would you be able to share business names and Padilla Heights
address locations with me?
