D. Angus Property. Dear Ms. Jones, We have searched our office from top to bottom in an attempt to locate the letter to Mr. Angus concerning trees on his property that I promised you. As of this time we have not been able to find a copy. Instead I offer the following. Shortly after my visit to your residence I visited with Mr. Angus at his residence. I explained that trees along his south property line could not be maintained so to grow together like a hedge unless they were kept trimmed no higher than 7 feet or as an alternate, no higher than fences bordering that property line. At that time he said he would work on meeting that requirement. A day or two later he visited me in our office and asked if he cut every other tree so that the did not grow together in the form of a hedge,would the ordinance be met. It is our opinion that this proposal does indeed meet the requirements of Ordinance. In our opinion, if he chooses this remedy the city would have no legal reason to further pursue this issue.
