Yes, in this case the adjacent stud plus the rips both shear nailed is sufficient.
In the future though, I prefer a solid corner rather than the rips.

I had a sheer nail inspection yesterday and Grock was really concerned with this
corner at the angled part of this number 2 wall . Grock requested a solid corner there
instead of angled rips , can I leave the rips and nail into the stud that's 2 1/2 inches from
corner at 4 inch o.c.. Having both full stud and rip nailed off will this achieve the
required sheer in this area ? Thanks Steve
