The details on A-0.1 are all for interior walls only.
Exterior walls do not need drywall on the outside face to be 1-hour rated. They can berated from the. inside face only
with 5/8" 'x' gwb on inside surface only if all walls are greater than 10' from the property line which we are.
See below from IBC
705.5 Fire -resistance ratings.
Exterior walls shall be fire -resistance rated in accordance with Tables 601 and 602 and this section. The required resistance rating rating of exterior walls with a fire separation distance of greater than 10 feet (3048 mm) shall be rated for
exposure to fire from the inside. The required fire -resistance rating of exterior walls with a fire separation distance of
less than or equal to 10 feet (3048 mm) shall be rated for exposure to fire from both sides.
We are greater than 10 on all sides due to the parking lot to the west and public right of ways to the north and east and
a public alley to the south.
So no issues.

Hi Peter,
A question has arisen regarding the 1 hr rated, type VA exterior walls at the Salish inn.
Sheet A-0.1 has a series of details for rated walls, all indicating gwb on both sides.
Sheet A-2.1 lists the standard exterior wall construction as having gwb on the interior face only.
Could you provide clarification on now the exterior VA walls are to be constructed.
Thanks, if they need the GWB to meet the rating requirements for a 4 story R-1 building, we want to let them know prior
to siding the structure.
