The Board is trying a new agenda focused more on updates and relevant issues rather than
covering items and reports just because they are on the traditional agenda.
Leslie shared that reading programs are in full swing and are not only for children. Even
adults can get that prestigious sign for the yard with enough reading accomplishments!
Leslie and Diana are working with the schools on the "new" space in the children's room and
the teen area.Two game nights are being scheduled for July and August for kids and families.

Jeff is meeting with the RFID folks on several issues.
Library staff: Michelle Hanna is the new Sydney(Administrative Assistant). Interviews are
being conducted for a new page.
Library coffee hour will continue as a forum for the community to discuss issues with the
Library Director and the librarians.Two Board Members attended the coffee on June 12th. We
were impressed with the first meeting and believe the concept shows great promise.
The Board is concerned and needs to understand the financial standing of the construction
fund in order to support the construction changes of Teen and Children's spaces.Alethea is
setting up a meeting with the Mayor and Finance. Katherine will also be attending.
