Hi Kathy,
Inspections are required as part of the building process. So, a building inspector will go out to the site when the
applicant calls for required inspections and ensure that the structure is constructed according to the plans.
Structures housing livestock are required to be set back a minimum of fifty feet from the nearest property line. The site
plan shows the garage being located about 45'from the south and west property lines, so as proposed, it would not
meet the requirements for housing of livestock. Also, the application submitted does not make any reference to
housing of livestock, only a post frame garage.

I guess my only question is who will check to ensure setbacks are correct and that what they are building is in fact a pole
frame garage and not a barn? (I thought setbacks for barns were different?)
