A thorough inspection of the building was performed.Rough drawings were made with dimensions.Homogeneous areas (suspect materials that are similar in appearance,color,installation,etc.)were identified for testing.These items were then recorded in location,description,condition,quantity,friability(ability to release fibers by hand pressure), as well as photographed. SUMMARY OF INITIAL FINDINGS • Asbestos was detected(greater than 1%)in homogeneous area 10 (12x12 white and tan tile in the bathrooms of building A'). • Asbestos was detected(greater than 1%)in homogeneous area 19 (Silver paint associated with the flat roofing of building A'). • Asbestos was detected(greater than 1%)in homogeneous area 32 (6x6 brown and yellow sheet vinyl and associated mastic in the den of building"B"). • Asbestos was detected(greater than 1%)in homogeneous area 33 (Black mastic in the den of building"B"). MAIN BODY OF REPORT TRCT used destructive testing methods to test materials that may be disturbed in the process of demolition.This structure was unoccupied at the time of sample collection.Power and water were both on at the time of sampling.Any materials that are not listed as tested require testing or should be assumed to contain asbestos. Homogeneous Area 10) Building A) 12x12 vinyl tile in bathroom 1 layer 1 and bathroom 2 layer 2-The tile was found to contain 2%asbestos.No asbestos was detected in the associated mastic.This tile will require abatement prior to disturbance or demolition.This material is estimated at a quantity of 90 Square feet.This material is on a wood substrate.This is a Class 2 non-friable miscellaneous material.The removal of this material is of moderate difficulty Homogeneous Area 19) Building A) Silver paint on flat roofing-The silver paint was found to contain 3%asbestos.No asbestos was detected in the other roof layers.The paint will require abatement prior to disturbance or demolition. This material is estimated at a quantity of 1,543 Square feet.This material is on wood substrate.This is a Class 2 friable miscellaneous material.The removal of this material is of moderate difficulty. Note:The other roofing layers appear well adhered to the paint layer which makes separation of these layers unlikely. Homogeneous Area 32) Building B) Brown and yellow sheet vinyl in the den area-The sheet vinyl was found to contain 45%asbestos. 2%asbestos was detected in the associated mastic.The sheet vinyl and mastic will require abatement prior to disturbance or demolition.This material is estimated at a quantity of 198 Square feet.This material is on a cement substrate.This is a Class 2 non-friable miscellaneous material.The removal of this material is of moderate difficulty. The mastic will require abatement prior to disturbance or demolition.This material is estimated at a quantity of 330 Square feet.This material is on a cement substrate.This is a Class 2 non-friable miscellaneous material.The removal of this material is of low to moderate difficulty. CONCLUSIONS&RECOMMENDATIONS TRCT concludes that building materials sampled(homogeneous areas 10, 19,32&33)were found to contain greater than 1%asbestos.Abatement of these materials will need to be carried out prior to their disturbance or demolition. TRCT recommends that materials found to be greater than 1%asbestos as outlined in this report be removed by a certified abatement contractor. If unsampled materials are uncovered they require sampling for asbestos content and possible remediation prior to disturbance and the client or contractor is advised to contact TRCT. LIMITATIONS OF REPORT This inspections purpose is to facilitate the structures demolition; it is to be considered a full survey.TRCT was given permission to conduct a destructive access survey. This inspection and report are only valid for the residence and/or buildings described in this report.Any other use of this report or work scope not described to TRCT by the Client voids all TRCT's liability to the Client or any other entity.Any suspect materials not listed as tested in this survey are to be considered Asbestos Containing as per State and Federal Law until tested to show otherwise.Asbestos surveys are based on "visible and accessible materials','while attempt has been made to identify all asbestos containing materials,some items may not be visible or accessible until demolition or renovation has begun.All quantity amounts listed in this report or it's appendixes are to be considered estimates for sampling and notification requirements;accurate square or linear footage quantities prior to beginning work on the site are the sole responsibility of the Contractor performing the work.Friability(the potential for a material to release its fibrous content thereby becoming respirable by hand pressure alone)assessments are made as-is in the field;friability may change depending on the forces expected to act upon a material during removal.
