I wrote the attached correction note. I verified a complaint that the retaining wall that Paul approved, in plan review, and was approved in the field, through inspections, is on the stormwater easement along with the trees he planted and does cross over the property line to the neighbors. It is poured and connected to the catch basin. Do you want to do anything about this? Please let us know. Safe Aspirations, Groc Fyrrce Building Inspector City of Anacortes 1 William M. 6 i3arbara J. Ballentine 2402 Washington Court Anacortes,WA 98221 360.293.4903 captwb@aol.com 24 June 2019 HAND DELIVERED City of Anacortes M II !V Nc Building&Public Works Departments 904 6th Street JUN 2 4-1019 Anacortes,WA 98221 b CITY OF ANACORTES RE: Sidewalk Repair at 2401 & 2402 Washington Court We have a concern about a sidewalk repair that may be done in front of our property in conjunction with a larger sidewalk repair project at located at 2401 Washington Court. When the sidewalk damage occurred while unloadingan excavator in 2013,we were assured by George Berg, General Contractor at the time, the damaged portion would be saw cut and replaced by a new section of concrete in conjunction with installation of the 2401 Washington Court driveway. For public safety reasons,we think a new section of concrete should be poured, which does not appear to be planned. Also, a patched concrete repair would be unsightly and not be consistent with other sidewalk repairs in Sunset Cove Development. Our main concern is that a partial repair is not a good long term fix and will cause future tripping hazards in front of our property. We are asking representatives of the Building and Public Works Department to make a site visit to evaluate the work currently in progress. Attached please find photos. Sincerely, William M.
