Please put together a formal letter to the owner, quote the AMC for potential violations and possible fines and
penalties, as well as the corrections . I also suggest we share a copy of the site plan with Steve Lange and determine
what we need to do about the wall.

Hi Don,
I stopped by 2401 Washington Court and took pictures of the retaining walls (see attached pictures). I wrote the
attached correction note. I verified a complaint that the retaining wall that Paul approved, in plan review, and was
approved in the field, through inspections, is on the stormwater easement along with the trees he planted and does
cross over the property line to the neighbors. It is poured and connected to the catch basin.
Do you want to do anything about this? Please let us know.
Safe Aspirations,
Groc Fyrrce

RE: Sidewalk Repair at 2401 & 2402 Washington Court
We have a concern about a sidewalk repair that may be done in front of our property in
conjunction with a larger sidewalk repair project at located at 2401 Washington Court.
When the sidewalk
damage occurred while unloadingan excavator in 2013,we were assured by
George Berg, General Contractor at the time, the damaged portion would be saw cut and
replaced by a new section of concrete in conjunction with installation of the 2401 Washington
Court driveway. For public safety reasons,we think a new section of concrete should be poured,
which does not appear to be planned. Also, a patched concrete repair would be unsightly and
not be consistent with other sidewalk repairs in Sunset Cove Development.
Our main concern is that a partial repair is not a good long term fix and will cause future
tripping hazards in front of our property. We are asking representatives of the Building and
Public Works Department to make a site visit to evaluate the work currently in progress.
Attached please find photos.
Sincerely,
William M. Ballentine
