Construction Process & Procedure Agreement
Please review our Construction Process and Procedure Agreement.
Procedure
To accept the attached proposal, please sign and date both the proposal and this construction process document
and return them along with your down payment to our office (via mail, email, drop-off or Payment Portal). Once we
have received these documents, you will be contacted by our team to schedule the installation. Lead times vary for
many reasons (weather, material availability, ground conditions, etc.) Weather dependent projects (such as staining
or concrete curbing) may be scheduled last-minute to accommodate for breaks in the weather.
Utilities & Undergrounds
JTI will be responsible for locating from the road/alley to the meter on the property for all public utilities such as:
power, natural gas, phone, water, and cable. JTI is not liable for damages to unmarked or privately installed
underground utilities, such as: sprinkler systems, drains, sewer lines, septic systems, propane lines, well water
lines, private water association lines, or any other privately installed underground utilities or structures hit while
digging. It is the customer's responsibility to identify and mark such utilities before work begins. If you
know where any of your private underground utilities or structures (mentioned above) are located, please mark
them and/or inform our crew of their presence. Any included drawings are for informational purposes only and not a
scaled representation of exact fence layout. Final field adjustments may be made by the foreman on site. Any
layout adjustments do not exclude the private or unmarked utilities responsibility held by the customer. Hydro
excavation, core drilling, saw cutting, or hand digging required due to the presence of unforeseen utilities is not
included. JTI will not be responsible for costs associated with unsuitable soils or the presence of hazardous
materials.
Permits & Engineering
JTI will not be responsible for acquiring permits, surveying, or engineering. If required, these must be obtained by
the customer at their own cost, unless otherwise stated by a JTI representative in writing. Customers will also be
responsible for following any HOA regulations, easements, zoning codes, and/or property lines and informing JTI
when applicable.
Fence Construction
Excess dirt from post holes will be raked out. Removal is not included unless specified in the attached proposal for
an additional cost. Posts must not be disturbed or moved once placed. If posts have been moved from their
original placement before being fully set, additional charges will apply to have them re-set.
In the case of uneven ground, the bottom of the fence will be placed in as close proximity to the ground as
possible, following either straight lines or gentle grade changes. By default, your fence will follow the natural grade
of the ground. If you prefer an alternative approach (e.g., stepped installation), please notify us before work
begins.Ground with rolls, hills, or dips underneath the fence span will likely need to be filled. Fenceline clearing,
grading, filling, trenching, and other dirtwork is not included unless specified in the attached proposal for an
additional cost. Some wood fencing styles can either roll along the grade or be stepped by section; our crew will
determine which method works best in each situation unless a preference has been previously indicated by the
customer. Demo/disposal of existing fence(s) not included unless specified above.
