Item #1) - W 1 "
Revise erawlspace to basement bonus room. Install 3/z x 9/z LVL
across opening to bonus room in the first floorframing. See attached
calculations.
Item#2) - Install PHD2-8083 hold-downs at each end the new beam to restrain
overturning of shear walls above. Anchor hold-downs with 5/8" diameter
threaded rods embedded 7A" in epoxy resin.
Item #3) -On Catala,sheet A2— Main Floor Plan, install MSTI36 hold-downs at
the pocket door to the new beam at basement bonus room. Center strap tie at
top of beam. Wrap excess strap under bottom of beam, filling minimum of 4 nail
holes in bottom of beam.
Item #4) -Alternate hold-downs for installation after concrete is poured.
In-lieu of STHD10, install PHD2-SDS3 anchored with 5/8" diameter threaded
rods embedded 7:4"in epoxy resin.
In-lieu of'STHD14, install PHD6-SDS3 anchored with 7/8" diameter threaded
rods embedded 1034" in epoxy resin.
Item#5) Patos, sheet A3 -First Floor Framing Plan detail G/S2 at LVL 5'%" x
11'/4'. Install MSTC36 drag strut to side of beam,centered on double top plate.
