Berry: We have again reviewed the complaint that you have registered concerning the construction of an accessory structure at 815 37th Street . Mr. Munce and I have both had extensive conversations with the owner and it is our determination from the information that he has presented that the operation, in fact , will be hobbie in nature. From the wording of your letter of February 15th it is my understanding that you did not receive my letter of November 19 , 1990 responding to your original complaint . Berry 810 38th Street Anacortes, WA 98221 Dear Mr. Berry: _ _ I have received your formal written complaint regarding the construction of a garage in the rear yard at 815 37th Street. I have reviewed the ordinances and determined that the structure as submitted for permit does meet the zoning requirements for the City of Anacortes. The minimum setback requirements in the rear yard is 5 feet from the rear property line, 5 feet from one interior side yard and 10 feet from -pieother interior side yard. The maximum size for an accessory building in the rear yard is 1000 SQ. FT: and the maximum height for such a building is 16 feet above the average grade at the front of the building. - It is my understanding, based on conversation with. the _appiicant, that his hobby is repairing and rebuilding older cars. He has indicated to me that it is his intent to confine his activities to the interior of the building and as such remove any objectable material from his yard outside of the building. If, after his project is completed and he has had _r time to move into the building, he has not cleaned up the yard please advise me and I will make another contact with him about this matter. For your information I am including a copy of the City of Anacortes Zoning Ordinance. This printing is approximately 2 years old. There have been some revisions to other zones.
