Reference: Home Occupation Permit Conditions—Angel Face & Nails
Dear Mrs. Sturgeon:
For your convenience I've enclosed a copy of your Home Occupation Permit dated March 19, 1998.
The Permit highlights three specific conditions:
1. There shall be no more than one customer at a time.
2. Office hours shall be 9:00 a.m. to 2:000 p.m., Monday through Friday.
3. All customer parking shall be off-street.
The Angel Face & Nails advertisement that appeared in the October 20, 1999 Anacortes American
clearly indicates that you have expanded the home occupation outside of the restrictions mentioned
above. Please contact Ms. Kathy Janke, 299-2943, Land Use Permits to discuss either reducing the
services to comply with the permit conditions or to apply for a modification to the permit.
Please advise if further information is required.

Dear Mrs. Sturgeon:
This letter shall serve as your Home Occupation Permit to use your home at 2309 30th Street 1
to conduct a nail salon. The permit is granted based on the description of the Home
Occupation as outlined in your application received March 3, 1998.
I have enclosed an information sheet that lists the conditions imposed on all home occupation
permits. The following conditions shall also apply:
1. There shall be no more than one customer at a time.
2. Office hours shall be 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
3. All customer parking shall be off-street.
The information sheet also outlines the appeal process and the time restrictions should an
appeal be filed. If no appeal is made, the effective date of the permit shall be March 26, 1998.

Dear Kathy,
I am writing you about a letter you had sent me last month. I am truly sorry for any
mix-ups there may have been. I was unaware of the incorrect business hours in one of
my business ads. I have made a complaint to the newspaper at fault. Anacortes is a
truly wonderful place to have my business and also to raise my family. It is my desire to
comply with our terms of agreement and also to keep good relations with my neighbors.
You will be the first person I contact if there are any changes in my business hours -
Monday thru Friday, 9:00 to 3:00.
