All RAUPEX Non-Barrier pipe meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM F 876, F 877, CSA B 137.5 and PPI TR-3, and is certified to NSF Standards 14/61. RAUPEX Non-Barrier pipe also meets the requirements of NSF P 171 and ASTM F 2023 for chlorine resistance. RAUPEX Non-Barrier pipe is produced in REHAU's ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facilities. *These pipes are certified by UL to UL 1821 and by ULC to ULC-ORD C199P for NFPA 13D fire protection applications. RAUPEX Non-Barrier pipe is rated for continuous operation of 160 psi @ 73.4°F (1105 kPa @ 23°C), 130 psi @ 120°F (900 kPa @ 49°C), 100 psi @ 180°F (690 kPa @ 82.2°C) and 80 psi @ 200°F (550 kPa @ 93.3°C). It is compatible with brass crimp ring fittings certified to ASTM F 1807, RAUPEX compression nut fittings, and EVERLOC compression-sleeve fittings certified to ASTM F 2080 and CSA B 137.5. Use of RAUPEX Non-Barrier pipe in heating systems requires corrosion protection and/or isolation by using a heat exchanger or non-ferrous components throughout the system. POLYETHYLENE CTS PIPE FASTENER Item It Submitted 555 series Tube TalonTm Job Name Location SPECIFICATION Sioux Chief 555 Series Tube Talon"' CTS pipe fasteners shall be used where Engineer - necessary to secure CTS tube in piping systems. Fastener shall be 100% Contractor corrosion proof and U.V. resistant. Fastener shall be impact resistant to 0°F, po# TAG and be able to withstand continuous temperatures up to 160°F. Fastener shall have a preloaded nail, which shall be rust resistant, zinc plated yellow irradite. Preloaded nail shall have a continuous ring shank to provide a more permanent installation, Fastener shall snap onto CTS tube for easy • installation, and shall allow for expansion and contraction of tube with less noise. Fastener shall be designed to avoid tube damage if nail is over driven. x=: MATERIALS fastener body: High density black polyethylene; 100% corrosion proof; ; U.V. resistant; impact resistant to 0°F; max temp: 160°F a, : n continuous. id , nail: Rust resistant; zinc-plated yellow irradite; continuous ring shank. MAXIMUM LOAD RATING 555-.1: 3 lbs. 555-2 5552: 5 lbs. 555-3: 8 lbs. 555-4: 12 lbs. APPROVED USES Manufacturer has approved the Tube Talon for use with: copper tube, CPVC tube, PEX/PB tube, CSST lines, flexible gas tubing, plastic/steel conduit, low voltage DataCom cable. INSTALLATION Manufacturer suggests the Tube Talon be installed in alternating directions (so that the fastener's nail is on alternating sides of the tube being fastened) to ensure secure installation. Install fasteners at intervals described in local plumbing code for the type of pipe or tube being fastened. E =_ To install IPS tube, use the next larger size fastener, e.g. if you are fastening 1/2" IPS tube, use a 3/4" fastener. 1 s DIMENSIONS: 555-1 555-2 555-3 555-4 A A: width 0.848" 1.125" 1.375" 1.6875" l= B: height 0.735" 0.875" 1.1875" 1,4375" C: depth 0.375" 0.375" 0.4375" 0.5" 1 D: nail length 1.625" 1.625" 2.125" 2.375" 0 c E: hook height 0.468" 0.5625" 0.75" 0.9063 1 F: width to center of tube 0.5" 0.6563" 0.75" 0.9375" Create Item Number 555-A e.g. 555-3 =Tube Talon for "CTS piping A TUBE SIZE C:a 1 3/8" CTS ::r 2 1/2' CTS :3 3 3/4" CTS ::a 4 1" CTS Sioux Chief Sioux Chief Manufacturing Company • tel: 1-800-821-3944 • www.siouxchief.com • fax: 1-800-758-5950 1.1.-08 SPEAR PVC CPVC TRUE UNION TU2000-2-0408 One of the Most Versatile, Compact Valve Designs Available Spears' True Union. 2000 Ball Valves, 3-Way Ball Valves and Ball. It Requires insulation be moved up above the sprinkler pipe to allow heat from the conditioned space below to transfer into the attic space and keep the pipe warm. For it to be effective the insulation must be continuous over the pipe, with the assumption that any heat lost through the insulation will be replaced by the conditioned space. Even in moderate climates, the sprinkler system needs to be protected from freezing. This is done by keeping the sprinkler pipe inside the insulation envelope. Figure 1 shows tenting over residential sprinkler pipes to prevent blown insulation from getting between the pipe and building's warmth. -- ( p c' ELEVATIONS-CROSS SECTION OF HOME MOST HYDRAULICALLY REMOTE HEAD v g N G HEAD II GPM PRESSURE REQ'D AT STREET W N o O U "` 2 HEAD # H.24, H.25 GPM 26 PSI 61 O J Z >O r Q cc 1 •., a ¢ o HD SYMBOL MODEL !1 K FACTOR MAX SPACING HD SYMBOL MODEL !!
