Solid blocking required in floor beneath trimmers. Double 2X6 trimmers
required under both sides of French door.
Double stud in wall below to foundation below trimmers, minimum. The
corner is likely a three stud member already, but we will need to verify
support under right side of door. An alternate option would be a solid block
in the floor system that spans at least two studs in the wall below.

existing kitchen cabinets.

New french door and windows- Window on left will be expansion of old window- French door will be expansion of old window- New window on the right will be over sink- Wall to the right of window will replace existing door
Solid blocking required in floor beneath
trimmers. Double 2X6 trimmers required under
both sides of French door. Recommended to
run French door header to corner as in detail
below. Miter corner with strapping is also an
option, but it is less prone to twisting with a full
king stud at each end.

trimmers, minimum. An alternate option would
be a solid block in the floor system that spans
at least two studs in the wall below.
