Estvold,Architect AIA 3110 Commercial Ave. Anacortes,WA 98221 Phone (206)293-5500 INTRODUCTION: The Santa Barbara Urban Hydrograph Method (SBUH) was used to determine the volume of storm runoff that would be generated from this development. Calculation of the hydrographs was through the use of the WaterWorksTm Version 2.0 computer program by Engenious Systems,Inc. Methodology For determination of allowable release and stormwater detention volumes conforms to the State of Washington Department of Fisheries (WDF) storm water standards adopted by the City of Anacortes. HYDROLOGIC DATA: TOTAL SITE = 0.34 acres SOIL: Bow-Urban land complex,0 to 8% Hydrologic Group D Rainfall Intensities: 2 year 1.40 inches 25 year 2,50 inches 100 year 3.7.0 inches EXISTING CONDITIONS: This site is currently occupied by two multiple-residence dwelling units, one house and detached shed. There is an asphalt driveway and gravel area which provide access to the multiple units and a concrete sidewalk to the house. There are several fruit trees on the westerly third of the property, along with some grass and landscaping. The ground slopes uniformly to the Northeast. See attached map, Page 21. This structure will have two orifices, 1" and 2", and a 12" diameter riser all of which drain through an eight (S") outlet pipe. Combined outlet performance data can be found on page 16 and a detail for CB/MH 401 can be found on page 18. The 1" orifice controls the release for 2 year developed storm at 1/2 of the existing release rate and the 2" orifice controls the release for the 25 year developed storm at the existing release rate. The 12" diameter riser provides emergency overflow for storms in excess of the 25 year intensity or in the event of a clogged orifice. If the overflow riser becomes clogged or otherwise inoperative, emergency overflow is directed to the 24th Street gutter via an extruded curb and driveway. i UNDERGROUND DETENTION PIPE: Detention for this project will be provided in 50 lineal feet of 36" diameter Corrugated Polyethylene Pipe, (CPE). This pipe will provide approximately 353 cubic feet of storage volume at a stage of 95.8 feet. This system is designed to discharge through approximatley 180 lineal feet of 8" diameter pipe into an existing catch basin at the Southwest corner of 24th Street and Commercial Avenue. This basin is drained by an existing 6" diameter L CMP to the North. Capacity Analysis of the 6" pipe can be found on Page 20.
