Provide written responses to our review for those items checked as not approved. To help expedite our review include a transmittal with all submissions clearly identifying all documents with your project name and CRS project number. Include two copies of revised plans or sheets, in the same format/size as the original submission, incorporating your corrections. Facility planning must include, in addition to space and operational needs,provisions for infection control and safety of the facility's occupants during any renovation or new construction. WAC 388-78A-2850(3) Per the Infection Control Procedure information the proposed construction is to be separated from existing portions of the facility by existing wall assemblies and/or 6 mil plastic sheet barriers. The Contractor will be directed to keep the existing corridor clear of tools, supplies, and debris materials. 2 M Provide electrical drawings pertaining to the boarding home portion of the facility and its exiting stamped and signed by a Washington state licensed architect or engineer. WAC 388-78A-2820(1)(b)(i)(A) 3 ❑x Per the functional program the independent residents shall be allowed to dining and activities with the boarding home residents. Provide drawings showing how the combined facility will provide at least twenty square of common area for the combined total number of the residents,both boarding home and independent, as if all were boarding home residents. WAC 388-78A-2910(1), Sec. 705.5.1 International Building Code 8 ❑x Provide revised drawings showing/verify the existing exterior of the boarding home vertically above the proposed 2-hr. fire wall is a one-hour rated assembly with 3/4 hr. rated openings, or explain why the building code does not require the ratings of the above new roof surfaces. WAC 388-78A-2910(1), Sec. 705.6.1 International Building Code 9 ❑x Provide revised Sheet Al showing the two new patios accessed from Doors 05 & 06 and the new sidewalk accessed from Door 186 connected to the public way with direct and unobstructed access. Provide revised drawings, or explain why this portion of the corridor system should not be considered a dead end. WAC 388-78A-2910(1), Sec. 1017.3 International Building Code 11 ❑x Provide two complete plans and specifications for the fire alarm system installation or modification for review and approval prior to system installation. Plans and specifications shall include, but not be limited to, a floor plan; location of all alarm- initiating and alarm-signaling devices; alarm-control and trouble-signaling equipment; annunciation; power connection; battery calculations; conductor type and sizes; voltage drop calculations; name, address, and phone number of the agency receiving off- premises transmission of alarm; and the manufacturer, model numbers, and listing information for all equipment, devices, and materials. Incomplete plans and specifications will be returned without review. Plans and specifications may be submitted separately from construction documents during the construction of the project. The department reserves the right to defer plan review and inspections to the local j authority having jurisdiction(AHJ). Section 907.1, International Fire Code 12 x❑ Provide two sets of sprinkler system working plans for review and approval before any equipment is installed or remodeled. Deviation from approved plans will require permission. Plans and specifications, including hydraulic calculations,that are incomplete or are not stamped by a Washington State Licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor, will be returned without review. Plans and specifications may be submitted separately from construction documents during the construction of the project. The department reserves the right to defer plan review and inspections to the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Section 903.1, International Fire Code Compliance with the comments above provided by the Department of Health, Construction Review Services, are necessary for this facility to meet the requirements of the applicable licensing regulations found in the Washington State Administrative Code and associated references. These comments do not relieve the facility from the responsibility to meet the requirements of any other applicable federal,state or local regulations.
