HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-04-17 City Council Minutes Approved City Council Minutes—April 17,2017 Mayor Laurie Gere called to order the regular Anacortes City Council meeting of April 17,2017 at 6:00 p.m. Councilmembers Eric Johnson,Ryan Walters,Erica Pickett, Brad Adams, Liz Lovelett,John Archibald and Matt Miller were present. The assembly joined in the Pledge of Allegiance. Announcements and Committee Reports Public Works Committee: Ms. Lovelett reported from the committee meeting earlier in the evening at which the members discussed the fiber telemetry project now underway and the possibility of leveraging that infrastructure into a municipal fiber network which now looked very promising. Ms. Lovelett reported that she had attended the first hour of the open house for the Tesoro Clean Fuels Xylene project earlier in the evening and reminded her colleagues that the event would run into 8:00 p.m. and that written comments would be accepted until May 8. Public Comment No one present wished to address Council on any topic not already on the agenda. Consent Agenda Mr. Walters moved, seconded by Ms. Lovelett,to approve the following Consent Agenda items. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. a. Minutes of April 10,2017 b. Approval of Claims in the amount of. $612,710.23 The following vouchers/checks were approved for payment: EFT numbers: 84513 through 84565,total$294,853.48 Check numbers: 84566 through 84608,total$416,967.17 Wire transfer numbers: 214736 through 215264,total $20,994.65 OTHER BUSINESS Executive Session per RCW 42.30.110(i) Mayor Gere announced that City Council and the City Attorney would convene in Executive Session for approximately 30 minutes to discuss potential litigation and that immediately following the executive session the meeting would adjourn with no action being taken.
