A: Per AMC 19.67.080(B)(1), at least 40% of the total sign width must meet the ground plane.
The pillar structures are 1’-9” + 1’-9” = 3’-6” which is 50% of the total sign width of 7’-0”
Per MMU zone.AMC 19.67.080(B)(2) code, monument signs must include designB:
elements that effectively frame the sign on both faces. Alternatively, signs that have a substantial
framing element on one side will meet this provision.
This single sided monument cabinet has retainers that adequately frame the lexan face, meeting
this provision of having a substantial framing element on one side.
C: This Sign is Non-Illuminated
and will not be externally illuminated.
Per AMC 19.67.080(A)(2),the base of all freestanding signsD:
must be enhanced with one sq. ft. of landscaped area per one sq. ft. of sign area.
Added a landscape plan of 2’-0” x 8’-6” = 17.0 sq.ft. of landscaped area
