Ongoing Business • Our newest Board member has been selected and will be confirmed by City Council on February 201n • County wide library system: this is realistically a 2025 budget ask. Jeff has a meeting with the Skagit Directors next week to continue this discussion. New Business • Nancy raised the idea of her moving to the Friends of the Library board, to the position of Treasurer. Hal has been talking about retiring and Nancy has the skillset to take thisjob on, so it would work out well for both parties. Nancy will send an email to Jeff and explore whether it would be a conflict of interest to remain on both boards. Courtney will check the By-Laws. Due to the probable time commitment, Nancy will likely need to make a choice between the two positions. • The Board will need to present a slate of officers for the next year at the meeting in March. John will not be continuing his service after his term expires this year. The meeting was closed by Courtney at 9:48 a.m. The next meeting is March 11 at 9 a.m. in the Community Meeting Room.
