Prior to the issuance of any Certificate of Occupancy, you
are required to pay the Engineering Plan Review and Construction Inspections Fees in the
amount of$944.03.
Next, the requested Performance Bond amount will be the Project Value of$22,201.80 x 150%
in the amount of$33,302.70. We can discuss the different alternatives on how the Performance
Bond is placed. This amount will also be required to be paid at the issuance of any Certificate of
Occupancy.
Additionally, I have enclosed the proposed changes that were discussed during previous on-site
meetings with Mike Harris. This solution is a make sense approach given the change in grade
elevations after the home was constructed. It is recommended that you discuss the proposed
changes with your Engineer to determine the impacts to the approved design and what is
needed to move the project forward. As you know, the City of Anacortes Public Works
Departments supports your request to move the improvements to the edge of road. At this time,
I have had some communication with the Engineer regarding the proposed changes and have
mentioned that the enclosed drawing is only to depict the conversation that was discussed on-
site.
Lastly, you had a concern regarding the location of the large tree with regards to the waterline
extension and the potential impacts to the root system. This issue will need to be worked out in
the field at the time of construction. There are different methods of construction that can
minimize the impact to the tree during the installation of the waterline.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 360.661.3468.
Sincerely,
CITY OF ANA RTES
Steven R.
