*1 <br />WSEC Credits <br />This proposed addition of 352 square feet is less than 500 square feet of cononed space, therefore it <br />requires only 0.5 credits to comply with Table R406.2 <br />Per the Prescriptive Energy Code Compliance requirements the following Credits are taken from Table <br />R406.2: 5b, Efficient Water Heating: Rinnai tankless hot water heater at 85% AFUE = 1.0 credit <br />A revised worksheet is attached (dated September 27), and the water heater is noted on Sheet A 1.2 as <br />"Tankless HWH" in the Utility room. <br />*2 <br />Response from West Coast Engineering: <br />Item #7; I have stated the design compliance with 2015 IBC in my specifications under the paragraph 6. <br />Item #8: When I do design according to IBC, I do not need to comply with the IRC requirements, especially when deck <br />is enclosed on three side and all connections are detailed (detail B and C). IRC requirements for deck connections <br />are for prescriptive design, and try to assure to prevent deck separating from the structure. <br />I have tried to talk to the inspector, but left only a message.
