The project proposes the removal of the existing 216 <br /> sq. ft. of over water coverage wood float with (4) creosote pilings and steel <br /> ramp. The new dock is to be a total of 180 sq. ft. of over water coverage with a <br /> 6.5 ft. by 30 ft. float, 4 ft. by 40 ft. grated gangway and secured with (2) 12 in. <br /> Request steel pilings. The existing 4 ft. by 4 ft. concrete abutment and pier are to be <br /> replaced by a 4 ft. by 6 ft. concrete abutment to secure the gangway in place. <br /> The proposed float would allow for 62% light permeability due to the FRP <br /> grated decking. <br /> The subject property is located within the Shoreline Residential shoreline <br /> environment designation with majority of the work occurring within the Aquatic <br /> shoreline environment designation. <br /> The City of Anacortes Department of Planning, Community & Economic Development has determined <br /> that this project does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An <br /> environmental impact statement(EIS) is not required under RCW§43.21 C.030(2)(c). This decision was <br /> made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead <br /> agency. This information may be viewed by clicking the "View Current Projects"Quick Link button on <br /> the PCED Homepage (https://www.anacorteswa.gov/161/Planninq-Communitv-Economic-Development). <br /> This determination is based on the following findings and conclusions: <br /> • No comments regarding potential environmental impacts were received from the public or agencies. <br /> • Comments relaying no objection to the proposed project were received from City of Anacortes Building <br /> Department and Public Works Department. <br /> • The proposal's conformance with existing Anacortes Municipal Code regulations and acquisition of <br /> applicable agency permits prior to site construction adequately address potential impacts of this project. <br /> • This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2) after using the Optional DNS process in WAC 197-11- <br /> 355.
