City Of Anacortes <br /> Determination of Nonsignificance <br /> Description of proposal: The City of Anacortes is considering updates to its Community Forest <br /> Lands Comprehensive Plan (the Plan).The Anacortes Community Forest Lands(ACFL) contain <br /> approximately 3,000 acres of some of the most unique and complex living environments in the Puget <br /> Sound Region. The Plan contains descriptions,goals, and policies for ACFL geographic management areas, <br /> forestlands stewardship,and management of recreational areas. In an effort to develop a plan that works <br /> to conserve and enhance the unique environment,the Anacortes Community Forest Lands Advisory Board <br /> began discussing the process and updating the Plan in 2014. <br /> Proposed amendments are available for review on the city's website: <br /> https://www.anacorteswa.gov/528/Comprehensive-Master-Plans. <br /> Project File#: PLN-2019-0003 <br /> Proponent: City of Anacortes <br /> Location of Proposal: City limits of Anacortes <br /> Lead Agency: City of Anacortes Planning, Community& Economic Development Department <br /> The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse <br /> impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW <br /> 43.21C.030(2)(C). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and <br /> other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request. <br /> This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days <br /> from the date below.
