ahWietilt- <br /> G% <br /> '?'.' losyec, e. <br /> A. <br /> CITY OF ANACORTF,S <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Dinosaur Week-July 26, 2021 <br /> WHEREAS, dinosaurs roamed the Earth millions of years ago but still capture <br /> the imagination of young and old alike; and <br /> WHEREAS, this year the Parks and Recreation Department is offering a <br /> Dinosaur Camp for youths at Washington Park to promote learning and a love of science; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Anacortes Public Library is our local resource for knowledge, <br /> and will host Paleontological Storytimes, present a famous dinosaurs in a <br /> literature scavenger hunt, and generally provide merriment all week long through <br /> summer reading activities with Parks &Recreation and beyond; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Anacortes Museum contains thousands of artifacts and <br /> photographs in its collection and viewable online content for research and enjoyment;and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED it is fitting and appropriate that 1, <br /> Laurie Gere, Mayor of the City of Anacortes, do hereby proclaim the week of July 26, <br /> 2021 as our celebration of <br /> Dinosaur Week <br /> in Anacortes and encourage our citizens to enjoy summer reading and the study of <br /> dinosaurs, history, and science. <br /> Dated this 13th day of July 2021. <br /> 2eer-e_.-K *r-Y(_ac- <br /> Laurie Gere,Mayor <br /> Page 2 of 245 <br />
