Don,
I have made two site visits to the Marine Crest lots and met with Craig Bergfault. After evaluation of the current
access issues, I have determined any residence built on the proposed lot will need to have a residential sprinkler
system installed for fire protection. The grades are such on the roadway that our fire apparatus would be unable
to access the residence and provide fire fighting measures in a timely manner. Certain weather conditions could
possibly prevent any access. A residential sprinkler system to provide for life safety would provide initial fire
suppression and could possibly be the only suppression actions for a considerable time.
In addition, I recommend disclosure by the developer and/or property owner to any potential buyers of the
potential for limited or delayed fire suppression and Emergency Medical Services to the properties at this location.
