NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING NOTICE
A pre-application neighborhood meeting via Zoom video teleconference has been scheduled to
introduce the potential project described below. The purpose of the meeting is to inform
neighbors and interested parties about the potential project at an early stage and to foster
communication between the applicant and the public regarding potential project issues and
opportunities for solutions.

Project Description:
The proposed work is the construction of a concrete bulkhead placed in the same footprint as
the concrete toe protection, which will be removed. The new protection at the base of the
existing riprap sea wall will prevent further degradation of the wall by winter storm wave action.
The proposed work will encompass one home located immediately adjacent to the sea wall and
in-between two sections of wall that were previously permitted for the same scope of work.

The purpose of this work is to prevent the home located shoreward of the existing bulkhead
from collapsing into the sea. The existing bulkhead (built in 2005) has suffered considerable
damage from wave action during winter high tide storms. The existing wall was not built deep
enough into the existing soils and is now severely undercut and cracked in places, and in danger
of collapse.

Project Location: 4909 Croatian Way in Anacortes, WA 98221

Project Applicants: Allen Horesh

Project Representative:
Marine Surveys & Assessments (Meg Amos)
380 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368
(360) 385-4073

Meeting Date & Time: Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 6 PM

Meeting Location:
In order to comply with orders from the Governor to not hold in-person meetings, this
neighborhood meeting will be held virtually using Zoom.

How to join the Zoom Meeting:

1.
