Anacortes Historic Preservation Board Minutes <br /> Tuesday, May 20, 2008 <br /> City Hall Meeting Room <br /> 1. The meeting was called to order at 7:08 pm. Present were Karen Marshall, <br /> Margaret Delourme, Brent Morrison, Steve Cox and Susan Rooks. Steve Oakley <br /> and Mike Trafton were absent. <br /> 2. Comments from the public: none <br /> 3. April minutes approved as amended. <br /> 4. Correspondence: <br /> • Karen reported that the Donovan Rypkema lecture sponsored by Historic <br /> Seattle was well attended. Rypkema focused on the sustainability of <br /> preservation. <br /> • Susan reported on a reply to a query from Mt. Vernon resident Mr. <br /> Bettendorf on where to locate preservation-related articles. <br /> 5. Discussion/Action Items <br /> A. Roundtable meeting with Ian Munce on May 22 to discuss proposed <br /> design standards for Old Town. Board members were urged to attend. Steve C. <br /> will ask the Planning Dept. for copies of correspondence relating to the proposed <br /> standards. <br /> B. Comments on proposed changes to Ordinance 2530 due first week of <br /> June. <br /> C. Project Update: <br /> • Thanks to Margaret Delourme for her work on the successful <br /> Awards presentation. <br /> • Steve Cox will begin taking photos of buildings in potential <br /> historic district area, which is located tentatively between 4t"- <br /> 8t" H-O Sts. <br /> • No decision on ALR form. <br /> D.
