Anacortes Historic Preservation Board Minutes <br /> Meeting of Tuesday March 18, 2008 <br /> 7:00 pm Board Meeting: City Hall Meeting Room <br /> Board members present: Karen Marshall,Margaret DeLourme,Mike Trafton,Brent Morrison, and <br /> Susan Rooks. Also present: Steve Oakley,Museum Liaison <br /> 1. Called to Order at 7:10 pm <br /> 2. Comments from the Public: none <br /> 3. February minutes approved as amended <br /> 4. Correspondences: <br /> • CAMP for Commissioners May 17 in Tacoma <br /> • Statewide preservation/planning conference in Chelan April 30—May 1 <br /> • Update from Julie Koler: working with Susan Rooks on local register nominations for the <br /> DuBuque &Lowman House properties; arranging a tour of Old Town with Megan Duval <br /> (DAHP) to review historic district possibilities; and discuss integrity standards (degree of <br /> alteration) <br /> 5. Reviewed the Mark Hinshaw (LMN Architects) public presentation from March 6. Will deliver <br /> letter to Ian Munce to express appreciation for his work, and provide a few suggestions for next <br /> presentation. Karen to draft&circulate for review <br /> 6. Old Town survey work continues: TA&UTM information entered into State data base at <br /> Museum;Brent linking photos <br /> 7. Discussed scope of 2008 CLG grant application (due April 11) and decided to complete Old <br /> Town survey over to T Ave and link with Cap Sante. Steve Oakley will coordinate & submit grant <br /> application. Will call for help when needed <br /> 8. Update on Christian Science Church: closed but not yet on market. Decided against nominating <br /> for "Most Endangered" status to avoid conflicting with local efforts. <br /> 9. Karen distributed copies of Ordinance 2530 with recommended changes for Board review. <br /> 10.
