NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION <br />VIRTUAL / TELEPHONIC PUBLIC HEARING <br />A virtual/telephonic Pre-decision Open Record Public Hearing will be held by the Anacortes Planning <br />Commission on February 10, 2021 at 6:00 PM by means of the Zoom video conferencing web application <br />to consider the following application: <br />Project Name: Bayside Moorage Marina File Number: SDP-2020-0002 <br />Applicant: Bob Bergquist, Marine Floats Corporation 1208 E. “D” St, Tacoma, WA 98421 <br />Land Owner: Jeff Wright 1910 Fairview Ave, Suite 500, Seattle, WA 98102 <br />Project Location: 2410 Skyline Way, Anacortes, WA 98221, Accessors Parcel # P32370 <br />Application Type / Description: The applicant has applied for a Shoreline Substantial Development <br />Permit (SSDP) to permit the removal, demolition and disposal of the existing creosote piling and floating <br />marina (7,968 sq ft). Forty-three galvanized steel piling will be installed, and new floating docks using <br />the EnviroCrete® System will be fabricated in Tacoma and towed to the Bayside Moorage Marina for <br />installation. The existing pier and ramps will be reused and re-decked with new grating. This project is a <br />like for like replacement within the existing footprint, using contemporary designs to reduce the <br />environmental impact. <br />Environmental Review: A SEPA threshold Determination of Mitigated Determination of Non-significance <br />(MDNS) was issued for this project on January 13, 2021, under WAC 197-11-340(2), after using the <br />Optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355. There is no further comment period on the DNS. <br />Closed-Record Decision Hearing: A virtual closed-record decision hearing to make a decision on the <br />application will be held by the City Council on Monday, March 8, 2021 6:00 PM via Zoom video <br />conferencing. <br />Appeals: The decision on this application, once made, may be appealable pursuant to the procedures <br />outlined in AMC 19.20.030 and AMC 19.20.210. <br />Staff Report: The staff report will be available no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 4, 2021 and can be <br />viewed at https://www.anacorteswa.gov/161/Planning-Community-Economic-Development by clicking <br />“Other Notices” and then opening the appropriate project file number folder (SDP-2020-0002).
