<br />NOTICE OF APPLICATION <br />and PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD <br /> <br />File Number: CUP-2020-0001 <br />Applicant: Madrona Real Estate Investments X LLC <br />Application Received: February 21, 2020 <br />Complete Application: May 12, 2020 <br />Notice Issued: May 27, 2020 <br />Comments Due: June 17, 2020 <br /> <br />Project Location: 1015 18th Street (Parcel #P55166) <br /> <br />Application Type / Description: The applicant proposes to construct a private parking lot on a parcel that has 2 <br />different zoning designations. A portion of the parking lot will be within the R4 zone, and the remaining portion of <br />the parking lot will be in the Commercial zone. A conditional use permit is required for the portion of the parking <br />lot within the R4 zone. The parking lot will provide additional off-street parking spaces supporting an existing <br />commercial development located to the north of the site, across 18th Street. The project includes demolition of an <br />existing detached accessory structure, paving of approximately 4,824 square feet, striping for 18 parking stalls and <br />drive aisles, installation of stormwater facilities, landscaping, sidewalk, and paving of the alleys to the east and south <br />of the project site. <br /> <br />Other Required Project Permits/Approvals: The following permits may be required in addition to the above: <br />construction plan approval, clearing /grading permit, right-of-way permit. <br /> <br />Existing Environmental Documents: This project is categorically exempt from SEPA review. <br /> <br />Document Availability: Application documents may be reviewed at https://www.anacorteswa.gov/161/Planning- <br />Community-Economic-Development by clicking “Notices of Application” and then opening the appropriate project <br />file number folder. <br /> <br />Public Comment Period: Written comments must be submitted to the contact below by 5:00 PM on June 17, 2020. <br />Any person may comment on the application, receive notice of and participate in any hearings, and request a copy <br />of the decision, once made. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: A public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission with a subsequent closed record <br />decision hearing by the City Council.
