Resolution No. 2079 <br /> A Resolution Amending Council Procedures for Participation in Absentia <br /> Whereas the City Council has adopted rules of procedure by Resolution 2044(2019); <br /> Whereas Section 4.3 of that resolution provides for participation by councilmembers in absentia but <br /> limits such participation to one councilmember per meeting; <br /> Whereas,in the event of a pandemic or other disaster,it may become difficult to ensure a quorum of <br /> councilmembers is present in the council chambers to hold a meeting; <br /> Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council that: <br /> Section 4.3(d)of Resolution 2044 is amended as follows: <br /> No more than one Councilmember may participate in absentia at each council meeting, <br /> unless necessary to avoid the absence of a quorum. <br /> PASSED by the City Council this 9th day of March,2020. <br /> CITY OF ANACORTES: <br /> Laurie Gere,Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk/Treasurer <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Fil)L—s-L9 <br /> Ci tom <br /> 1 <br />
